Broadcasts
Broadcasts are mass direct messages to your contacts in Telegram, Instagram and Facebook. They’re great for announcements, promos, surveys and reminders: you set up the audience and text once, and Repost21 carefully sends the message to every subscriber. You’ll find this section under “Automation” → “Broadcasts”.
How to create a broadcast
- Open “Automation” → “Broadcasts” and click “Create” — from scratch or from a ready-made template.
- Choose a channel — the connected Telegram, Instagram or Facebook account the messages will be sent from.
- Set up the audience — who to send to (filters by tags, see below).
- Write the message — text with variables, and add media if you want.
- Send a test to yourself and check how the message looks live.
- Launch the broadcast.
While the broadcast is in “Draft” status, you can freely edit and delete it. Once launched, no more changes can be made.
Audience
The audience is built from your “Inbox” contacts — people who messaged you in the selected channel.
- Filter by tags — pick contact tags (for example, “warm lead” or “customer”), and the broadcast will only go to them. Without a filter, the message reaches all contacts of the channel.
- Live preview — while setting up filters, you immediately see the audience size and examples of contacts that match it. No need to launch the broadcast to understand the reach.
At the moment of launch, the audience composition is locked: whoever matched the filters at the start is who the message goes to.
Message
- Text with variables — use substitutions like
{{first_name}}so everyone gets a personal message with their own name. - Media — you can attach an image or another file from the media library to the text.
Test on yourself
Before launching, send a test message to a single contact (for example, yourself) — there’s a test button on the broadcast page. This lets you check the text, variables and media in a real messenger. Test sends aren’t counted in the broadcast’s metrics.
Sending pace
Messages don’t go out instantly to everyone at once, but gradually, at a gentle pace — this respects the limits of Telegram, Instagram and Facebook and protects your accounts from bans. For large audiences a broadcast will take some time; the progress is visible on the broadcast page.
Statuses and counters
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | The broadcast is being created, you can edit and delete it |
| Queued | Launched, waiting for sending to begin |
| Sending | Messages are going out, progress is visible |
| Completed | All messages have been processed |
| Cancelled | Stopped before sending began |
You can cancel a broadcast while it’s in “Draft” or “Queued” status. Once sending is underway, you can’t stop it.
After completion, counters are available:
- Delivered — the message was successfully sent to the contact.
- Skipped — the contact didn’t match the conditions at the moment of sending (most often — fell outside the 24-hour window on Instagram/Facebook).
- Errors — sending failed (for example, the user blocked the bot).
Broadcast templates
So you don’t have to start from a blank page, the library has 16 ready-made templates in 6 categories — you pick a template and a channel, and get a draft with ready text to edit.
