Account and security
Everything related to your account lives in the “Settings” section: profile, interface appearance, and security. Here we’ll go through each part — from changing your photo to two-factor authentication.
Profile
In the profile card on the “Settings” page you can change:
| Field | Note |
|---|---|
| Name | Shown in the interface and in your team |
| Photo | The “Change photo” button — upload an image from your disk |
| Phone | Optional contact field |
| Time zone | Affects how times are displayed; chosen from a list |
After editing the fields, click “Save”. Email can’t be changed — it’s the account identifier you use to sign in.
Interface language
Repost21 speaks four languages:
- Russian
- English
- Oʻzbekcha (Latin script)
- Español
On your first sign-in, the language is picked automatically based on your browser language. You can change it in “Settings” → “Appearance” — pick one of the four languages with flags. Your choice is remembered on the device and saved to your profile.
Theme and accent color
In the “Appearance” block:
- Mode — light or dark theme.
- Accent color — six options: Violet, Blue, Emerald, Rose, Amber, Teal. The accent changes the color of buttons, highlights, and charts across the whole app.
Changing your password
- Open “Settings” → the “Security” block.
- Click “Change password” and enter your current and new password.
If you’ve forgotten your password, the sign-in page has a “Forgot password?” link. Enter your email, and you’ll receive a message with a reset link. The link is valid for one hour.
Sign-in with Google and Apple
The sign-in page has “Sign in with Google” and “Sign in with Apple” buttons:
- If you don’t have an account yet, it’s created automatically on your first sign-in.
- If an account with that email already exists, sign-in via Google or Apple is linked to it — and your password keeps working.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
2FA adds a second step at sign-in: besides your password, you’ll need a one-time code from an authenticator app. Even if your password leaks, no one can get into your account without your phone.
How to enable it
- Open “Settings” → “Security” → the 2FA card → “Set up”.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or any other TOTP app works).
- Enter the six-digit code from the app to confirm the setup.
- Save your 10 backup codes — they’re shown only once.
Backup codes
Backup codes are there in case you lose access to your authenticator (you changed or lost your phone). Each code is single-use: once used, it burns out. Keep them in a safe place — a password manager or offline.
How sign-in works with 2FA
- Enter your email and password — or sign in with Google/Apple.
- On the second step, enter the code from your authenticator app or one of your backup codes.
How to disable it
In that same 2FA card, click “Disable” and confirm the action with a code from your authenticator. You can’t disable 2FA without a valid code.
Sessions
The “Security” block shows your active sessions — right now you’ll see your current browser marked “active”. Viewing and ending sessions on other devices will come later.
Signing out
At the bottom of the “Settings” page, in the “Account” block, click “Sign out”. Local session data is cleared, and you’re taken back to the sign-in page.
