Posts and content plan
The “Content plan” is the hub for working with publications in Repost21. Here you create posts (manually or together with AI), tailor the text for each social network, see a live preview, schedule publications on the calendar, and run posts through approval with your team or client.
Composer — creating a post
Open Content plan → New post (or the “Create” button in the header). The screen is split into two parts: on the left is the AI chat with the content agent, on the right is the post editor.
AI chat on the left
The chat is run by your content agent. Here is what it can do:
- Starter ideas — in an empty chat, 4 random post ideas are shown, and the 🎲 button reshuffles the selection. Clicking an idea immediately starts generation.
- Quick actions — “Full post” (text + 3 image options in one tap), “From link” (paste a link to a product or article and the agent will build a post from the page content), “Image”, “Video”.
- Text variants — the agent offers several variants, each with a “Use” button (the text goes into the editor). Below the variants are tweak chips: “Shorter”, “Longer”, ”➕ emoji”, “Different tone”, ”🔁 More”.
- Agent selection — if you have several content agents, switch between them in the chat header; next to it is a button to jump to the agent settings.
- Post language — the “Auto + 4 languages” chips appear under the platform selection; with multiple platforms you can set a separate language for each.
For more on text generation, see the AI content generation section.
Platform tabs — shared text and a custom one per social network
At the top of the editor are tabs: “Shared” plus a tab for each selected platform. By default all social networks inherit the shared text. Start editing the text on a specific platform’s tab and it will automatically get its own version (the tab is marked). Platforms are added with the ”+ More” button.
Text, counters, hashtags, emoji
- The character counter under the text shows “characters / limit” for each selected platform: ✓ — fits, ⚠ — over the limit (the counter is highlighted).
- Hashtags — a separate field, one per post.
- Emoji picker — a button in the editor panel, the emoji is inserted at the cursor position.
Media
You can attach photos and videos to a post in three ways:
| Method | How |
|---|---|
| Upload from disk | the “Upload from disk” button |
| My library | pick from previously uploaded and generated files |
| AI generation | the “Image”, “Video”, “Carousel” (3 or 5 slides), “AI avatar” buttons right in the editor |
Generating videos and avatars takes time — you can minimize the modal to the background: the task will keep running in the tray at the bottom of the screen, and from there the file is attached to the post. In the composer header there is a brand library selector — its style is applied to all the post’s AI generations (see Brand library and Media generation).
Live preview
On the right in the editor is a preview of “how the post will look” in the active social network: the real name of the connected account, the text, hashtags, and the attached media in each platform’s native styling (Telegram, Instagram, X, Threads, Facebook, and others). Switch the platform tabs and the preview changes.
Publishing and scheduling
At the bottom of the editor is the schedule line and three buttons:
- Draft — save and come back later.
- Publish now — instant publication to all selected social networks.
- Schedule — publication at the chosen date and time.
The date is chosen in the calendar picker: a monthly grid (past days are unavailable) + hours and minutes selection + quick slots “Today 19:00”, “Tomorrow 09:00”, “Tomorrow 19:00”, “In a week”. The “Clear” button removes the schedule.
Content plan — publication calendar
The Content plan section shows all posts in a calendar.
- Views: Day / Week / Month / List — the switcher in the toolbar. In the week view, up to 5 posts are shown per day, beyond that — “+N more” (opens the list).
- KPI row: Scheduled · In approval · Published · Errors.
- Drag and drop: drag a post card to another day — the publication time is kept, only the date changes. Past days are locked. On the phone, hold the card and drag it.
- Filter by platforms — social network icons in the toolbar.
- “AI suggest slots” — the ✨ button in the toolbar: it suggests a good slot and opens the composer with the time already set.
- Luna’s suggestions — a banner under the calendar: if there is an empty day in the coming week, Luna will suggest “add a post on Thu 19:00” with the “Create post” / “Not now” buttons.
- ”+” in a day cell — create a post for that date right away.
Every post card has a menu (⋯): Open in editor · Duplicate · Rewrite with AI · Publish now · Delete.
Post statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | the post is saved but not sent anywhere |
| In approval | waiting for the reviewers’ decision |
| Scheduled | will be published at the appointed time |
| Publishing | being sent to the social networks right now |
| Published | went out successfully |
| Error | publication failed — open the post and check the reason |
| Rejected | a reviewer rejected the post (with a reason) |
In the calendar, the status is visible by the colored bar on the card: scheduled — blue, in approval — amber, published — green, error/rejected — red.
Post approval
Approval is needed when a post has to be checked by an editor, a manager, or a client before it goes out.
How it works
- The author sends the post for approval (a button in the post). The status changes to “In approval”.
- The reviewers receive a notification and see the post in the content plan with a decision panel: Approve / Request changes / Reject — a comment can be added to any action.
- Approval moves the post to “Scheduled” (or returns it to draft if no date is set). Rejection with a reason moves it to “Rejected”. “Request changes” returns the post to the author as a draft with the reason text.
If no approval chain is set up, posts are approved by the team administrators.
Approval chains with stages
In Team → Approval you can build a multi-stage chain — one per team:
- Stages go in order: a post moves to the next stage only after approval at the current one.
- Each stage has a name, reviewers, and a mode: “any” (one approval is enough) or “all” (every reviewer of the stage must approve).
- A reviewer can be a team member or a client via a review link — handy for agencies: the client approves the post without a Repost21 account (see Client Review).
- A rejection or a change request at any stage stops the chain; the post keeps a history of all actions with comments.
On a post that is “In approval”, the chain progress is visible: completed stages — green, the current one — blue, future ones — gray.
Approval is available on any plan. The limits on posts and AI generations depend on the plan — check the current values in the “Plan” section in the app.
